About Us
SWD Interior Design was founded by Brighton-based designer, Sarah Wolley Dod.
Having worked in the property industry in Central London and the Middle East for over 15 years in both residential and commercial sectors, Sarah gained a lot of experience working closely with developers, investors and homeowners to create spaces that would give them the best returns on their investments. Since moving to Brighton, Sarah has worked within the Holiday Lettings Industry and gained in-depth knowledge about this market.
In 2021, SWD Interior Design was established with the aim to create spaces that are not only elegant and with personality, but are also fundamentally practical and useable.
Sarah graduated from the Interior Design Institute in 2022 and her projects have included complete refurbishments to prepare for the sales and lettings market, short-term rental properties as well as structural renovations for home owners looking to revamp their homes.
Sarah loves to create spaces that are calm and inviting. Her approach balances a sense of tranquility with uplifting accents while integrating well-considered colour schemes.

“I love to travel and I take a lot of inspiration from colours and form that I see around me; especially sunny hues, beautiful flowers and views but also the importance of structure how it relates to its surroundings.”

Sarah is passionate about music, nature and gardening. Drawn to a palette of green and earthy tones with splashes of vivid pinks and bright yellows, she likes to create comforting, vibrant spaces that blur the lines between the indoors and outdoors.

Our Approach
From sourcing one-off individual pieces that add personality to a room to planning an entire property renovation, we take the unique requirements of every client very seriously and we work closely alongside them to create tailor-made solutions to make the most of a space.
Whether we are designing for a long-term residence or investment property, beauty is always balanced with functionality while we strive to create environments that will stand the test of time, aesthetically as well as in a practical sense.
